DSE 2019: Digital Signage in Corporate and Retail Environments

The 2019 Digital Signage Expo is the world’s largest conference and trade show dedicated to digital signage, bringing together all the industry’s top designers and innovators. As a part of the conference, ESI Design’s Andrew Lazarow, Designer & AV Technologist, will be sharing his systems design expertise on the “Digital Signage Stories” retail-focused panel and in a lunch roundtable discussion on digital signage in corporate environments.
What to Expect: Best Practices in Digital Signage and Experience Design
On Thursday, March 28th, Andrew will host a lunch discussion group with other industry peers, sharing and deliberating everything from best practices to ethical issues and dream technologies for digital signage in corporate environments. Andrew will highlight ESI’s work for corporate clients, including the our work designing the data-driven interactives for eBay Main Street in Silicon Valley. The dialogue is meant to generate in-depth insights in an engaging format, identifying challenges and innovative solutions.

Later that Thursday, March 28th, Andrew will join the “Digital Signage Stories” panel, moderated by AV Technologist Alesia Hendley, highlighting case studies from around the globe in the retail market. Focusing on our digital canopy installation at Chicago’s 900 North Michigan Shops, Andrew will share how we created an experience that transformed the mall into a 21st-century attraction. Attendees will walk away with new insights into the retail industry and creative ideas for honing their own successful AV and digital signage deployments.

Meet the Speaker: Andrew Lazarow
Andrew Lazarow is an award-winning interactive designer. In his role as a Systems Designer at ESI, he develops the robust visual and audio systems that support the interactive experiences designed by the ESI team. Andrew has 11 years of interaction design experience, focusing on encouraging audiences to be more present and inspiring wonder. His areas of expertise include projection mapping, motion capture, video systems and interactive lighting control.
For the past five years, Andrew has been a Resident Researcher and Adjunct Professor at NYU’s Interactive Telecommunications Program. As a designer outside of ESI, he focuses on interactive video and projections designs for retail and public spaces as well as for theater, dance, and opera. Andrew graduated from Williams College with a B.A. in Performance Studies, going on to receive his Master’s in Interactive Telecommunications from NYU.
