Experience the Times of Bill Cunningham
Immersive Experience

Transport yourself into the vibrant world of famed street photographer Bill Cunningham at this immersive exhibit in The Seaport. Unfolding over two stories, 18,000-square-feet, and six distinct spaces, the multi-sensory installation will feature large-scale reproductions of Cunningham’s most iconic photos, video and audio interviews, artifacts like Cunningham’s iconic Biria bicycle and his trademark blue French worker’s jacket, and sounds that capture the energy of New York City’s streets. This limited-run experience is open from Sept 12 – Oct 30, 2021. Learn more.

The HQ for this global entertainment icon is more than an office building. At the media conglomerate’s new head office, an immersive media experience tells a cohesive brand story, creating a sense of identity and community. Statue of Liberty Museum

The new museum gives the 4.3 million annual visitors to the Statue of Liberty the opportunity to learn about and honor the Statue’s history, influence, and legacy in the world. Beginning with the immersive 360-degree LED oculus in the public plaza, the media program at Barclays Center connects the brand to the energy of New York City. A ribbon of LED screens wraps the walls and columns, appearing as a horizontal slice taken out of the building that allows tenants to see through the walls and out to the metropolis beyond. The custom media is a dynamic mix of cinematic videos and animated infographics positioning the lobby for its desired multi-tenant audience. Learn more.

Ellis Island National Museum of Immigration

ESI Design created two distinct exhibits at the National Museum of Immigration to bring the American immigration experience to life. The American Family History Center enables visitors to search digitized ship manifests, while the Peopling of America Center celebrates families that immigrated both before and after Ellis Island was in operation. Digital experience design and environmental graphics come together in an array of digital media, relief maps and bold lighting installations to update the outdated former Goldman Sachs HQ into an enticing office for a tech-savvy workforce. ESI Design’s first project for longtime client Beacon Capital Partners, this installation of hyper-local digital media fueled by data visualizations and real-time weather welcomes visitors into this space. Striking custom, mixed-resolution visual bands are complemented by ceiling lighting effects to create an immersive experience in this lobby made for lingering. Learn more.
